"An artist, representing an experimental literary press, embeds as a journalist,
     with US Forces in Afghanistan..."

First Assignment, a longitudinal performance project, is a series of works including VIDEO, PERFORMANCE, INSTALLATION and WRITING surrounding my experiences as an embed at military bases in the US and Afghanistan over the last year and a half. The project includes the artist's field book From JBAD, Lessons Learned (Les Figues Press). First Assignment has the grassroots support of artist communities and advocates.
